Do you have a "fancy camera" but don't know how to use it? Maybe you'd like to get better photos of your kiddos. Or perhaps you just want to know what all of those buttons on your camera do, or what lens to purchase next and why. Well, Have Camera Will Shoot is a beginner, one-day workshop, just for you!

Together, we will have a day full of hands-on experience, loads of visual examples, and of course, lots of shooting! It will be fun, promise!

Have Camera Will Shoot is limited to 8 attendees.

Investment: $200
Date: August 6th, 2016
Time: 9AM - 2PM (lunch is included)
Location: TBD (I will send you an email with more info as we get closer)
The Goal: To understand your camera and to learn to shoot comfortably in manual mode. And have fun. And get some really cool shots. (P.S. The shot above is one that I took at my very first photography workshop, back when I was learning to shoot in manual!)

Here are the topics we will be discussing:

  • Camera Types
  • Parts + Features
  • Memory Cards
  • Lenses
  • Exposure: ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed (aka: getting OFF of AUTO!)
  • White Balance
  • Using Your Light Meter

What to bring:

  • Yourself!
  • A camera, of course! A DSLR to be exact.
Suggestion: If you really want to get amazing portraits, I would invest in and bring a prime lens. Don't know what that means? Shoot me a message and I'll give you more info [and a great place to get an amazing price on one]! You won't regret it.
  • A fully charged battery + an empty memory card.

What will you get:

  • A Have Camera Will Shoot workbook.
  • LOTS of knowledge, resources, and pro tips.
  • Practice time.
  • Lunch!
